Antique Silver Spoons

Item:  Sugar Sifter Spoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: Dundee circa 1820 by Robert Naughton Dimensions: 154mm length; 26g weight

Comments: A rare Scottish Provincial sugar sifter spoon (the shallow bowl discounts the possibility of a toddy ladle conversion). The maker has not yet been conclusively ascribed, although in his book on Dundee Silver, Dr. William Guthrie suggests that Robert Naughton of Inverness is the likely candidate.
