Antique Silver Spoons

Item: Table Spoon Description: Coburg Pattern Hallmark: London 1821 by Paul Storr Dimensions: 227 mm long, 106g weight.

Comments: A superb quality spoon, weighing over 3 troy ounces, by the master silversmith. The engraved inscription ("1868") to the reverse side is obviously of a later date. Very crisp decoration and overall excellent condition.

Coburg pattern was first designed and made by Paul Storr circa 1812 for the retailers Rundell, Bridge & Rundell on behalf of the Royal household. The bulk of the flatware in the Crown Service is this pattern.
