Item: Table Spoon Description: Dove with olive branch Hallmark: London 1764 by Thomas Evans Dimensions: 200mm long, 47g weight Comments: A rare picture back table spoon depicting the dove with olive branch motif. There is some minor loss of detail to the picture, but it is generally in good condition. This symbol of peace was probably added to spoons of this period, as a commemoration of the Peace of Paris and the Peace of Hubertusburg ending The Seven Years War, both occurring in 1763.
