Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Glenisheen Collar Hallmark:  Dublin 1973 by O'Connor Dimensions: 80 mm long; 32 g weight

Comments: The commemorative hallmark for Ireland's entry in to the EEC in 1973 was a miniature copy of the Glenisheen Collar with the year 1973 to the centre.  

The handle of this fine quality caddy spoon (see weight) is also made in the form of the Glenisheen Collar . The spoon additionally bears the commemorative hallmark.

The Glenisheen Gold  Collar is one of the finest examples of Irish made pre-historic craftsmanship. It is dated to approx. 700BC and is now kept within the National Museum of Ireland.
