Dimensions: 285mm long x 175mm wide x 83mm high Comments: This is a superb and extremely rare Art Nouveau silver inkstand in the form of a naked maiden with a faraway look. This inkstand has a very similar appearance to the highly sought after WMF pieces of the period, with one major difference - this is made from hallmarked silver. The nude lady has long flowing hair and is lying on a leaf. The modelling is superb and all the details remains crisp. The cut glass inkwell is original and in good order. The hinged silver cover has matching hallmarks to the stand. The silver is attached to a dark blue felt covered base that stands on three squab feet.
