Item: Medicine Spoon Description: Hanoverian Hallmark: London
circa 1730 by Isaac Callard Dimensions: 94mm long Comments: An
extremely rare spoon with double-struck maker's marks (duty dodging) by
one of the finest makers of the period. The maker's mark is shown in
Grimwade (1196) and dates between 1726 and 1739. Minor bruises to bowl.
An identical spoon (made by his son Paul Callard) is
illustrated in "Silver Flatware" by Ian Pickford (fig. 375).
