Bateman Grave Wine Label, 1802

Details

This very attractive rectangular silver wine label has a beautifully pierced surmount, bright-cut border and the scarce name "GRAVE" engraved to the front. The label benefits from bearing the maker's mark for the Bateman family and being in excellent condition throughout.

Graves is a sub-region of the wine growing area around Bordeaux and is situated on the left bank of the Garonne, upstream from the city of Bordeaux.
