Do you buy silver?

We are always being asked if we buy as well as sell - yes we do!

As one of the strongest trade buyers of fine quality silver in the UK, we are always happy to make an offer should you be wishing to sell a collection, a canteen or if you just own some unwanted items.

We buy everything to do with silver, whether it be high quality Georgian hollow ware, an early English spoon, a privately assembled collection, canteens, tea sets, trays etc. We even buy broken, damaged or engraved pieces. We have multiple selling points, which allows us to direct each item in to the most appropriate area and ultimately pay the best prices.

Our main priorities are top quality silverware in fine condition and many of these categories can be seen throughout our web-site. However, we are also suppliers of tea services, trays, dishes etc to the high end UK retail trade and most of these categories are not shown on our web-site. We are therefore always on the look out for this type of item too.

Furthermore, we have close ties with refiners and bullion dealers and can procure the very best prices for scrap hallmarked silver. We are currently able to pay considerably in excess of the advertised prices offered on the internet by the all the UK leading bullion dealers (and remember these prices are offered to the trade). Our scrap price changes daily according to the silver fix on the London Bullion Market. We avoid melting silver where possible as we feel that most pieces still have a resale value, but some items are too worn or badly damaged to be re-used and are therefore sent for melting to be recycled instead.

How do I sell to you?

We would suggest that a first point of contact is made either by email rbeaultd@btopenworld.com or telephone 01594 546328 (day-time on weekdays only), with a brief description of the items being offered. We will then provide our level of interest and propose a mutually agreeable way forward. We can arrange for a courier collection if necessary. We pay by cheque or bank transfer as soon as a deal has been reached.

Do you buy anything in silver?

Yes, we buy anything that is hallmarked silver. We do not buy silver plate (EPNS). Please check carefully that you own hallmarked silver, as it can be disappointing to later learn that it is silver plate. 

Do you buy gold?

Yes. We pay prices based on weight and carat for hallmarked gold. Our prices are similar to those offered by leading bullion dealers on the internet- far in excess of what you might receive on the High Street and from the high ranking internet "sharks" on Google etc! We especially seek large pieces such as goblets, cigarette and vesta cases.
