Antique Silver Spoons

Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Bright-cut engraved with oval bowl Hallmark: Exeter c.1797 by Richard Jenkins Dimensions: 60 mm length

Comments: A very attractive West Country spoon with the bonus of the triple cusped duty mark (used in Exeter in 1797/8 to denote the payment of double duty). This spoon is stylistically more interesting than most provincial caddy spoons of the period in that the oval bowl is engraved around the rim and a cross the centre with wriggle work.
