Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Oblong
bright-cut handle Hallmark: London 1797 by Elizabeth Morley Dimensions: 74 mm length
Comments: An unusual late 18th Century
bright-cut caddy spoon by this sought after lady silversmith. The
decoration is crisp with contemporary script engraved initials to the
front. The duty mark is interesting as it is twice cusped, denoting the
doubling of duty on the 6th July 1797, to help fund the Napoleonic Wars.
