A good gauge of silver has been used in the manufacture of this fine piece, as would be expected from the premier silversmith that produced it. Extra signs of quality can be seen with the finely cast shell thumb piece, the superbly engraved crest surmounting Gothic style lettering and the beautifully pierced floral scrolls.
