Antique Silver Spoons

Item: Magnifying Lens & Dictionary Description: Fob box with pivot Hallmark: London 1893 by Sampson Mordan & Co. Dimensions:  35mm x 22mm rectangular

Comments: The tiniest dictionary (27mm x 20mm) you are ever likely to find, is to be found within this box. It's 384 pages cover all the usual words, but it requires a good lens to read them. Slide the cover around on it's pivot and a ready too use magnifier is at hand.

This is a super little novelty piece by the ever inventive Sampson Mordan & Co., with a retainer loop at the top for hanging from a fob chain. The reverse side has a contemporary to manufacture presentation inscription "Phloe Feb 15th. 94". Excellent condition with a gilt interior.
