Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Jockey Cap Hallmark: Birmingham 1798 Dimensions: 55mm length

Comments: A fine example of a jockey cap caddy spoon from the first year of their manufacture (The vast majority of this form were made in the 1798-1805 period). The spoon is in fine condition with flutes to both cap and visor. The hallmarks are to the interior and lack a maker's mark (as is often the case), but the spoon is most likely to have been made by Joseph Taylor who was the first and most prolific maker of the jockey cap caddy spoon.
