fine example of this ever popular novelty caddy spoon. The fiorst jockey
caps were made in Bn 1797 by the Birmingham makers, so finding an 18thC
London-made example is quite a rairty. The spoon is attractively engraved
and is in fine condition. it has the added bonus of a Norie provenance.
PROVENANCE: This spoon is illustrated on plate 95d
of "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Guide". It retains the original
Norie Collection sticker and the "JDN" scratch mark.
