Item: Caddy Spoon (boxed) Description: 'Glenisheen Collar' Hallmark: Dublin 1973 by Thomas O'Connor Dimensions: 80mm long; 32g weight

Comments: The commemorative hallmark for Ireland's entry in to the EEC in 1973 was a miniature copy of the Glenisheen Collar with the year 1973 to the centre. The handle of this fine quality caddy spoon (see weight) is also made in the form of the Glenisheen Collar . The spoon additionally bears the commemorative hallmark.

The Glenisheen Gold  Collar is one of the finest examples of Irish made pre-historic craftsmanship. It is dated to approx. 700BC and is now kept within the National Museum of Ireland. 

The spoon comes complete with it's original explanatory booklet and purple velvet lined case.
