Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Bright-cut engraved with
fluted bowl Hallmark: Greenock c. 1800 by James Orr
Dimensions: 102mm long Comments: A
very rare Scottish provincial caddy spoon. The majority of Scottish caddy
spoons from the Georgian period are plain in appearance, but this example
has the bonus of a beautiful bright-cut engraved design to the handle and
a fluted bowl. The quality is top rate too, with a good solid feel in the
hand and a particularly attractive scalloped edge to the bowl. The
condition is excellent and crisp.
