Antique Silver

Item: Caddy spoons (pair) Description: Fiddle pattern with crest Hallmark: London 1821 by Jonathan Hayne Dimensions: 126mm long & 95mm long

Comments: A very unusual pair of Georgian caddy spoons with the same engraved crest. Pairs of caddy spoons are very rare, but this is the first time we have come across a pair with different bowl shapes; one is pear-shaped and the other is ovoid. They were perhaps intended for two different types of tea. The quality is superb, the griffin crests are crisp and the hallmarks are clear.

Ref.: RO/6491 Price: SOLD
