Item: Caddy spoons (pair) Description: Fiddle pattern
with crest Hallmark: London 1821 by Jonathan Hayne Dimensions: 126mm long
& 95mm long Comments: A very unusual pair
of Georgian caddy spoons with the same engraved crest. Pairs of caddy
spoons are very rare, but this is the first time we have come across a
pair with different bowl shapes; one is pear-shaped and the other is
ovoid. They were perhaps intended for two different types of tea. The
quality is superb, the griffin crests are crisp and the hallmarks are
clear.
