1840-82 by George Adams Weight: 3400 grams (109 troy ounces)
Pieces: 12 off table & dessert forks, table,
dessert, tea & egg spoons (the latter with gilt bowls). Servers:
2 off basting spoons (12" long), 2 off sauce ladles, 4 off salt
spoons and 2 off mustard spoons.
Comments: An immaculately presented Victorian
canteen in lockable wooden box (key present) with one removable tray. Each piece has the mark of
George Adams (of the prestigious Chawner & Co.) and has it's own
individual slot within the box. All items are in superb polished condition
with full length fork tines and unworn spoon bowls. There are no engraved
initials or crests present. The bowls of the egg spoons and salt spoons
are gilded.
