Item: Card Case Description: Crystal Palace "Castle Top" Hallmark: Birmingham 1850 by David Pettifer Dimensions: 100mm x 71mm rectangular; 65 g weight Comments: A rare castle top card case with crisp high relief detail of the Crystal Palace within a scroll surround. There is a vacant cartouche (no erasures) to the reverse side. Excellent condition. The year this case was made (1850/1) was the year of The Great Exhibition for which the Crystal Palace was constructed. It would have been sold as memento to a visitor. Price: SOLD Ref.
