Item: Egg Timer Description: Barley Twist Columns with star
terminals Hallmark: Chester 1899
by Saunders & Shepherd Dimensions: 57mm long Comments: A
rare and beautiful example of a Victorian egg timer. The hour glass contains
fine sand that takes 3 and 1/2 minutes to run through - perfect for a soft
boiled egg! The silver frame consists of three twist columns and a pierced
six point star to both ends. Egg timers are extremely scarce in silver and
have rarely survived in good order.
