Item: Spoon Description: Seal-top Hallmark: London
1624 by William Lovejoy Dimensions: 165 mm long, 51 g weight Comments: A
very good quality James I period seal top spoon in excellent condition.
The bowl retains it's original shape and shows no signs of wear. The
seal shows some minor loss of decoration, but judging by the rest of
the spoon's condition, this was most likely from an old mould used during
the casting process. The hallmarks are clear and legible and the seal
terminal bears contemporary betrothal initials "S+I". A fine all
round spoon.
