Item:  Spoon Description: Trefid with beaded rat-tail Hallmark: London 1686 by SH Dimensions: 186mm long, 44g weight

Comments: An excellent trefid spoon dating from the short reign of King James II. The spoon is in lovely condition with a good bowl and fine patina with some wear to the beading on the rattail (no damage nor repairs). The terminal is engraved with both a contemporary baptismal engraving "AB" and an engraving "SD" dating from early in the 18th Century. The hallmarks are in excellent condition with some rubbing to the date letter.
