Item: Spoon Description: Trefid with
beaded rat-tail Hallmark: London 1686 by SH Dimensions: 186mm long,
44g weight
Comments: An excellent trefid spoon dating
from the short reign of King James II. The spoon is in lovely condition
with a good bowl and fine patina with some wear to the beading on the
rattail (no damage nor repairs). The terminal is engraved with both a
contemporary baptismal engraving "AB" and an engraving "SD"
dating from early in the 18th Century. The hallmarks are in excellent
condition with some rubbing to the date letter.
