Antique Silver

Item: Spoon Description: Trefid Hallmark: Winchester circa 1690 by William Webb Dimensions: 195mm; 44grams

Comments: A rare example of a south of England provincial trefid spoon. Spoons from the cathedral city of Winchester are very rare and this is a great example. It has a simple rattail to the reverse of the bowl and a clear example of the "WW" makers' mark. The maker's mark is repeated twice on the stem, with one mark located towards the terminal.

Ref.: BH/7509 Price: SOLD
