Antique Silver

Item:  Jam Spoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: London 1833 by William Chawner Dimensions: 164mm length; 34 g weight

Comments: A very rare form of fiddle pattern spoon with long handle and pear-shaped bowl. It's original use would presumably have been for jam or sugar, however it is significantly longer than the usual implements for these purposes. The spoon is about the same size as a dessert spoon and has a good hefty weight in the hand.
