Item: Teapot Stand Description: Description: Flowerhead-shape
with engraved Coat-of-Arms Hallmark: London
1814 by William
Bateman Dimensions: 160mm
diameter; 31mm high
Comments: A very unusual and rare example made
by possibly the greatest of the Bateman family. The majority of teapot
stands are rectangular or ovoid and stand on four legs; this round teapot
stand has a wooden inteior. The engraved coat-of-arms is set within a
scroll surround and includes the motto "DATA EATA SEQUCTUS".
