Item: Cream Jug Description: Round with engraved
with floral bouquet Hallmark: Moscow
1896 by Karl Faberge Dimensions: 122mm long x 76mm high; 150
grams Comments: A fantastic late 19th century
cream jug bearing the mark of the World's most famous goldsmith Karl
Faberge. The jug is of the highest quality, with a very hefty weight for
its' size, and a restrained engraved scene of a floral bouquet around a
vacant cartouche. The handle is typically angular for Russian hollowware
and condition is excellent throughout.
The full set of 84 zolotnik Russian marks to the underside
include the cyrillic mark for Karl Faberge - the imperial Russian
goldsmith to the czar. The spout of the jug bears appropriate part marks.
