Item: Salver Description: Reeded
edge Hallmark: London
1790 by John Hutson Dimensions: 229mm (9") diameter; 530g
weight
Comments: An excellent quality Georgian waiter
tray or salver. The condition is superb with a good patina. The front
surface benefits from having no engraving nor have there been any
erasures. The original assaying scrape can still be seen to the
underside.
John Hutson had been apprenticed to Richard Rugg, the
specialist salver maker of the mid-18th Century.
