Item: Sugar Caster Description: Baluster shape with central girdle  Hallmark: London 1716 (Britannia Standard) by Samuel Wastell Dimensions: approx. 210mm tall; 68mm diameter base; 388g weight

Comments: An outstanding quality George I period sugar caster. This very large caster has great presence and has an equally hefty weight to match. The full and clear set of Britannia Standard hallmarks are located to the underside of the foot with the removable cover bearing appropriate matching part marks. Condition is excellent throughout with a fine patina.
