Comments: A fine quality George IV period tea
service. This set shows many of the features that are representative of
the Regency period and so typical of this fine silversmithing partnership.
The flush hinge and acanthus style decoration to both the front and back
of the spout are particularly notable. These acanthus leaves are repeated
on all the handles and around the feet of the teapot. The large cream and
sugar bowl retain their original gilding (gold-wash) to the interiors.
Excellent original condition throughout and a very fine set.
