Item: Serving Spoon Description: Celtic Point pattern Hallmark: Limerick c. 1783 by George Moore Dimensions: 230mm long Comments: We are pleased to be able to offer this exceptionally rare Irish silver long table/serving spoon. This spoon is in very good condition and bears contemporary engravings to the terminal "S*P" (probably signifying a marriage) and an engraved date to the heel of the bowl "JAN 1783". The marks are legible with the "GM" maker's mark within it's distinctive punch shape for George Moore (working period circa 1748-84) and the "STERLING" mark.
