Item: Table Spoon Description: Hanoverian Rat-tail pattern Hallmark: Dublin 1717 by Edward Barrett Dimensions: 207mm long; 73g weight Comments: A very early and extremely fine example of an Irish Rattail table spoon. The spoon has a really heavy feel in the hand and has a bold central ridge running down the centre of the front stem. It bears a betrothal triangle to the reverse terminal and is in lovely original condition. The spoon bears the three necessary hallmarks for the pre-1730 period including a clear date letter. A fine spoon!
