Item: Butter Spade Description: Stained ivory handle Hallmark: London 1792 by John Blake Dimensions: 181mm length Comments: A superb example of a rare and highly desirable late 18th Century butter spade. The hallmarks to the reverse of the trowel are unusually clear (generally they are rubbed when located on a flat surface). The original green stained ivory handle is in fine condition with no cracks.
