Item: Sewing Case Description: In the form of a valise Hallmark: London 1874 by Sampson Mordan & Co. Dimensions: 52mm (w) x 37mm (d) x 18mm (h) Comments: A typically ingenious novelty from the great Sampson Mordan & Co. The suit case is opened by way of a push bush button to release a catch. The interior is gilt and the three bobbins are hinged. Underneath the bobbins is a small compartment with tiny hinged flap for holding pins.
