Antique Silver

Item:  Mote Spoon Description: Shell back Hallmark: London circa 1740 by Richard Pargeter Dimensions: 140mm long;

Comments: A fine example of a sought after shell back mote spoon. The shell is crisp and the bowl simply pierced with crosslets and fleur-de-lys. Unusually, the bowl is also engraved with the initials of the original owner ("CS"). The stem is clearly marked with lion passant and maker's mark.
