Pair of Paul Storr Plates, 1834

Details

These are a fabulous pair of silver dinner plates or under-plates made by the most important English silversmith of the 19th century, Paul Storr. They have a really good hefty weight and with their bold gadroon borders ooze the quality one would expect from Paul Storr. They are very clearly hallmarked and stamped with the retailer name "Storr & Mortimer" and other than typical knife scratches, are in excellent condition.

We have a further two matching plates in stock which are available on request. These 10" round plates could be put to a variety of purposes, including serving dishes and display platters.
