These are a wonderful pair of early Victorian decanters that just ooze the highest quality. They are truly fabulous! The glass bodies are gilt engraved with a complex series of floral scrolls and centred by a cipher to both sides. The silver mounts with double pouring lip are beautifully gilt and similarly engraved. The stoppers are of the very highest quality, are fitted with a cork and screw neatly in to the tops of the decanters. A chain attachment prevents them from being mislaid.
The condition is excellent throughout, some very slight rubbing in places to the gilding on the glass, with no chips, cracks etc. Finding silver mounted decanters of this type and period is extremely rare; these just exude class and are highly recommended.
