Queen Anne Patch Box, 1720

Details

This round patch box was made to commemorate the reign of Queen Anne (1702-14) and dates from circa 1720. As with small boxes of this period, this bears the makers mark only and in the instance is the "IA" for John Albright. It is in fine condition with a crisp portrait of the Queen to the top cover and just a few very tiny dings to the base.
