Item: Spice/Salt Spoon Description: King's pattern (single struck) Hallmark: Glasgow 1821 by Philip Grierson Dimensions:  122mm long

Comments: A long handled condiment spoon that could be used equally well for salt or spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon etc. The terminal bears an engraved crest and the bowl interior is gilt. This spoon was made very early in the life of the Glasgow assay office (opened in 1819).
