Item: Caddy Spoon Description: Fiddle pattern with oval bowl Hallmark: Chester 1828 by John Coakley (of Liverpool) Dimensions:  91 mm long

Comments: A rare example of Chester made silver. Lacks town marks, as with all small Chester marked items from this period. See page 78 "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Supplement" by John Norie for more information. This spoon is reputed to be one of only forty one caddy spoons ever produced by this maker.
