Antique Silver Spoons

Item:  Table Spoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: Wick circa 1825 by John Sellar Dimensions: 233mm long; 75 grams weight

Comments: This is an exceptionally rare provincial table spoon in fine condition (including a thick bowl tip) with clear hallmarks being sold at a comparatively inexpensive price.

The marks on this spoon are noted and illustrated in "Highland & Gold & Silversmiths" by Moss & Roe, page 178. The "IML" initials on this spoon are also noted as belonging to a family who were probably the predominant client of John Sellar.

This spoon is one of a very small number of Wick marked spoons in existence.  Buy one whilst you can!
