Antique Silver

Item:  Teaspoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: Tain circa 1820 by Alexander Stewart Dimensions: 142mm long

Comments: An extremely rare Scottish Provincial teaspoon with clear marks; A.S, cup & saucer. The spoon is typical of the flatware produced by Stewart with a good gauge and lovely feel to it . The fiddle shoulders have Scottish proportions with contemporary to manufacture engraved initials in script and the bowl retains it's thick tip.

Tain is Scotland's oldest Royal burgh and is a small northern town in Ross-shire.
