Hallmark: Tain circa 1820 by Alexander Stewart Dimensions:
142mm long
Comments: An extremely rare Scottish
Provincial teaspoon with clear marks; A.S, cup & saucer.
The spoon is typical of the flatware produced by Stewart with a good gauge
and lovely feel to it . The fiddle shoulders have Scottish proportions
with contemporary to manufacture engraved initials in script and the bowl
retains it's thick tip.
Tain is Scotland's oldest Royal burgh and is a small
northern town in Ross-shire.
