very rare table spoon from one of the scarcest Scottish provincial
centres. This superb quality (see weight) spoon is in excellent condition
with a really thick bowl tip and an engraved script letter "A"
to the front terminal. The marks are superb and read "JS"
x3 and "WICK".
Wick
is the most northerly of all mainland Scottish provincial silver producing
centres. It is the main town of Caithness and is an important harbour
town.
