Antique Silver

Item: Table Spoon Description:  Fiddle pattern Hallmark:  Wick 1825 by John Sellar Dimensions: 233mm long; 67g weight

Comments: A very rare table spoon from one of the scarcest Scottish provincial centres. This superb quality (see weight) spoon is in excellent condition with a really thick bowl tip and an engraved script letter "A" to the front terminal. The marks are superb and read "JS" x3 and "WICK".

Wick is the most northerly of all mainland Scottish provincial silver producing centres. It is the main town of Caithness and is an important harbour town.
