Antique Silver

Item:  Teaspoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: Dundee circa 1820 by Dewar Dimensions: 141mm long

Comments: A good teaspoon with the mysterious Dundee marks for "D" and the pot of lilies mark struck three times. Dr Guthrie in his book "Dundee Silver 1750 -1850" was unable to ascribe this maker, however recent research now points to the retailer Dewar of Dundee as being the most likely candidate.
