Item: Straining Spoon Description: Old
English Thread pattern Hallmark: London circa 1780 by George
Smith Dimensions: 310mm long; 118g weight Comments: A
fabulous and rare Georgian straining spoon in the sought after Old English
Thread pattern. The bowl is half covered with an original straining plate to
enable the contents of the spoon to be tilted and drained of liquid. The
front terminal bears the original engraved unicorn crest. Interestingly the
spoon is a "duty dodger"
and bears the makers mark four times.
