Item: Pair of Salad Servers Description: Thread Handles
Hallmark: London
1805 by William Eley & William Fearn Dimensions: 274mm long;
230g weight Comments: These are a fantastic
pair of Georgian salad servers, that we do not recall seeing the like of
before. They are unusual in that they complement knives and
carving sets in their form and construction, rather than the flatware. The
loaded thread handles are attached to the large bowl and tines. The front
stems are crested with an engraved stag. The pieces have a terrific
feeling of quality and are in fine condition. The quoted weight includes the
loaded handles.
