Item: Pair of Basting Spoons Description: Fiddle & Thread pattern Hallmark: London 1839 by John J Whiting  Dimensions: approx. 308mm long; 400 g weight 

Comments: A superb pair of 12" spoons (aka long serving, stuffing or gravy spoon) with a very hefty weight of 13 troy ounces. Wonderful condition with a lovely patina and thick original tips to the bowls. The gartered crests contain the motto "VIRTUS OMNIA DOMAT" (Virtue Conquers All Things).
