Item: Pair of Fish Servers (cased) Description: Engraved silver handles and pierced blades Hallmark: Birmingham 1857 by John Gilbert Dimensions: Knife: 335mm long; Fork: 240mm long; 325g weight Comments: A beautiful pair of Victorian fish servers by a superb specialist in the field of dessert and fish sets. The blade/tines have been superb pierced and engraved - scrolling seaweed to the blade. The case is in a good practical condition with some slight staining to the velvet on the inside of the cover and the press button is sharp to the touch (lost it's button head). The silver is in superb condition and has obviously been well protected by it's box. There is a vacant cartouche (no erasures) to the front of both handles.
