£188.00
Toddy Ladle - Celtic Point - Dundee circa 1800 by James Douglas - 14.6cm long; 22g - CN/1383
This is a very dainty Scottish silver toddy ladle made towards the beginning of the 19th century in Dundee by James Douglas.
Being in the Celtic Point pattern, the ladle has a very distinctive Scottish appearance and the front terminal is engraved with an original "K" initial in script. The marks to the reverse clearly show the maker's name "DOUGLAS" in full, plus a shield, an acorn or topped heart and "ID" maker's mark. This excellent Georgian toddy ladle is in fine condition.
