Teaspoon - Celtic point pattern - Limerick circa 1790 by William Fitzgerald - 13.8cm long; 13g - DM/5441

Made in the late 18th century by William Fitzgerald, this is a very rare Limerick-made Irish silver teaspoon and bears two clear stampings of the WFG maker's mark.

With its pointed terminal, the spoon is in the distinctive Celtic Point pattern and is simply engraved A.F.G (most likely another member of the Fitzgerald family). This Irish provincial spoon is in fine condition with just a very minor bruise to the deep of the bowl (where it meets the table).
