R E Stone Silver Caddy Spoon

Robert Edgard Stone is widely recognised as one of the best British silversmiths of the 20th century with a career spanning either side of the Second World War. This caddy spoon being an especially late example created in his home workshop whilst semi-retired in Dunbartonshire and bearing Edinburgh hallmarks.

This good quality, hand-made caddy spoon has a scrolled handle with berry design and thick, shovel-shaped bowl. The underside of the bowl is stamped with Scottish hallmarks, the familiar "R.E.S" maker's mark and a facsimile of the RE Stone signature.
